Differential Thermal and Simultaneous Thermal Analysis Device "STA Series"

Simultaneous measurement of thermal weight and differential scanning calorimetry of the same sample! Improved signal analysis capability!

The "STA Series" is a device that simultaneously performs thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) on a single sample using the same apparatus. It allows for evaluations with completely consistent measurement conditions such as sample atmosphere, flow rate, sample vapor pressure, heating rate, and radiation effects. It can be connected to gas analysis systems such as FT-IR (Fourier-transform infrared spectrometer), MS (mass spectrometer), and GC-MS (gas chromatography-mass spectrometry), enabling the analysis of gases generated during the heating/cooling process. 【Features (STA 449 Jupiter)】 ■ Simultaneous measurement of thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis from -150 to 2400°C ■ High-temperature specific heat measurement up to 1400 degrees ■ Supports DTA and large sample measurements ■ An upper pan type absolute balance that provides excellent performance *For more details, please refer to the catalog or feel free to contact us.

TG-DTA (Thermogravimetric Differential Thermal Analysis)

Output the temperature difference between the sample and the reference material as a DTA signal! Change the temperature according to a constant program.

TG-DTA (Thermogravimetric Differential Thermal Analysis) is an analysis that simultaneously measures the weight of a sample (TG) and the temperature difference between the sample and a reference material (Differential Thermal Analysis) (DTA) as a function of temperature, while changing the sample's temperature according to a specific program. The measurable conditions are a temperature range of room temperature to 1000°C, a required sample amount of 10 to 20 mg, and sample shapes including film, powder, and bulk. 【Features】 - Thermogravimetric Differential Thermal Analysis - Changes the sample's temperature according to a specific program - Simultaneously measures the sample's weight and the temperature difference from the reference material as a function of temperature - Required sample amount: 10 to 20 mg - Sample shapes include film, powder, and bulk *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

The Relationship Between Materials and Heat: An Introduction to Thermal Analysis

It is also possible to estimate the relationship with molecular-level structures! Introducing the types of thermal analysis and the characteristics that can be understood.

When heat is applied to materials, various properties change. Thermal analysis is suitable for investigating such properties. Depending on the changes in the properties we want to observe, we use different devices and combine them as necessary. By understanding the various changes that occur when materials are subjected to heat, we can gain insights into how they will behave in practical applications. When combined with other chemical analyses, it is also possible to estimate relationships with molecular-level structures. If you have any questions about the relationship between materials and heat, please feel free to consult us. 【Analysis Equipment (Excerpt)】 <DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimeter)> ■ Changes observed: Heat flow (exothermic and endothermic) ■ Properties that can be determined: Melting point (freezing point), glass transition, crystallization, specific heat capacity ■ Applicable materials: Plastics, rubber, metals ■ Analysis examples: Measurement of the curing degree of thermosetting resins, measurement of the transformation temperature of shape memory alloys *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

STA 2500 Regulus / Simultaneous Thermal Analysis Device for Thermogravimetry and Differential Thermal Analysis

We offer a fully equipped package with high reliability and TG-DTA measurements up to 1600°C at an attractive price.

Achieves low drift, high sensitivity, and stable measurements even at high temperatures. The balance features a symmetrical structure with "main fulcrum" and "secondary fulcrum," which prevents measurement errors caused by sample positioning, thermal expansion of the balance beam, and changes in sample volume. The weighing moment of the balance is independent of the heating temperature, ensuring consistent sensitivity even during high-temperature measurements.

STA 449 Jupiter/TG-DTA Simultaneous Thermal Analysis Device

Simultaneous measurement of thermogravimetric analysis (TG) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is possible.

The STA allows for simultaneous measurements of thermogravimetric analysis (TG) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). It is the only device capable of high-temperature specific heat measurements up to 1400°C. You can choose from six types of heating furnaces, covering a wide measurement temperature range (-150°C to 2400°C). Additionally, the double furnace mechanism allows for the installation of two furnace bodies. It achieves a TG resolution of 0.025μg, with stability at 1400°C holding at 1μg/h. The TG measurement range is up to 35g (volume: 5cm³), accommodating both small and large sample measurements. With the newly developed OTS system, measurements can be conducted at oxygen concentrations below 1ppm, which was not possible with conventional vacuum replacement. It is also compatible with QMS, FT-IR, and GCMS coupling.
